Today was the last day of my detox challenge. Through this program, I was able to change my food habits and also found time to focus on and plan the goals of my life. I woke up at 5:45 am. I drank 500 ml of hot water and a cup of lemon honey in lukewarm water. Today my weight was 62.8 kg. I decided to continue this program for another three weeks with a break.
I did a 40-minute brisk walk with staircase exercise. I sweated quite a lot. After that, I did the rest of the exercises with Pranayama and ten rounds of sun salutations.
I prepared breakfast and lunch. As today was the last day of the challenge so I decided to make something different.
I prepared Kabuli Chana* with a little spice and oil. I took a bowl of chana soup with salad and a cup of ginger lemon tea.
I thought of including something new in my daily routine. I concentrated on my sitting posture by pulling my tummy muscles as tight as I could and pulling my back and chest straight up. The main aim is to hold my tummy in.
Note – This also helps to stimulate your digestive fire regularly. If you’re interested in reducing the fat around your tummy region, then it is a magical remedy. As I had cut my sugar and oil consumption for this challenge, I slowly started eating my regular diet again. We need to maintain the weight we have achieved this week.
Today I had a busy schedule and at lunch time I took a glass of milk with 1 tablespoon Gulab Drink (prepared by Pranayatana Ayurveda). I love its colour and taste because of the fragrance of fresh rose flowers. I felt light after drinking this.
At 4:45 pm, I decided to do the rest of the exercises:-
- Warm-up workout – 10 minutes
- Skipping – 10 minutes
- Hands muscle tone workout – 8 minutes
After that, I did the consultation and treatment of my patients. I was feeling hungry, so I prepared some rice. For dinner, I took a bowl of chana with some rice and my favourite salad with delicious chutney. I didn’t forget to take Ginger Lemon Tea at last. It digests my food and gives me energy. Before sleeping, I took 1 teaspoon Malashodhak Choorna (prepared by Pranayatana Ayurveda) in lukewarm water.
Note 1 – According to Ayurveda, Chana (Black Gram) is highly rich in protein. It balances Kapha and Pitta but increases Vata dosha. It is light in digestion but sometimes causes constipation.
Note 2 – When you follow a detox or weight loss plan, no need to cut your food. Make your food tasty, healthy, and nourishing. I will take a 2-day break after this challenge. These days, I will only walk in the morning and evening, and then I am going to follow this diet plan for 3 weeks again. So read my blogs regularly to get you updated.
